AWARDSNamed the new “Best of Breed” at the Camp Pendleton Base. PROJECT OBJECTIVEProvide new and refurbished housing for approximately 600 Marines being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONRavatt Albrecht & Associates renovated this 40,000 sq. ft., $8M LEED self-certified, 3-story Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) building to provide new and refurbished housing for approximately 600 Marines being deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. Work included coordinating of all design, demolition, preconstruction, construction, and close-out for this fast-track project with a previously defined budget. The result is a new design that added bedroom and bathroom spaces, an internet café, billiard sport lounge, reading and web browsing quiet rooms, and one large mini-theater group room, in defined, fixed room configurations. One side of the building remained office space and a large training room. RAVATT ALBRECHT & ASSOCIATES SERVICESArchitectural design, sustainable design, and mechanical and plumbing engineering. |
